One thing is for sure: your garage is a lot prettier than mine. I have old paint cans, food storage, a freezer, off season sports equiptment, and two cars in mine. Wish I had the room (and the heat) for some pretty plants!

Well, it's plants that make THIS PART of the garage looking good. I don't have a garden shed, a greenhouse or a conservatory, so everything goes here. And it is not heated. I thought you would pay attention to the plants, people!

Dear Tatyana, This is indeed impressive. Not only do your plants look remarkably healthy but also are clearly about to flower. Do you rotate them towards the light and feed them on a regular basis? Whatever, they look wonderful.

ReplyDeletePeople! You are scaring me. This is a picture. A picture can be deceiving. There are cars, garden tools, trash cans, dirty shoes, boxes and a floor covered by dog hair, so it's still a garage.
ReplyDeleteAs for the plants, the fern is doing surprisingly well, but I am not sure it will be in such good shape by March-April. The big guy in front is Giant Squill Bulb. I need to tell its story one day, it's not a pretty story.
Your photo makes me feel like I need to go and clean mine ;^) Your plants are so beautiful and thriving.

ReplyDeleteI've a couple of plants I keep in an unheated room. Most look quite sickly by March but usually recover quickly. My Asparagus fern thrives on neglect and actually puts on growth through the 'dark' months.
Where's the car? :)

ReplyDeleteTatyana! What a great garage... you should see mine!! LOL... you cannot move in there. Yours looks like a nice room in a house! Of course your plants are green and healthy and happy! Is that an amaryllis? Bloomed already? So you heat your garage? Please do not tell me you do not have to! -12 with windchill here today... are you not jealous! ;>)

ReplyDeleteWe have a 3 car garage that you can't put a car into. It's neat but not nearly as nice as yours. trade ya!?
ReplyDeleteOur garage was taken long ago for a shop. DH does metal and wood work, I do wood work and whatever else out there, plus a fridge that houses DH's Lite beer from Miller and his breakfast shakes. A freezer, next to my ShopSmith, and several pieces of furniture in various states of being repaired. Now I am taking this pottery course, there is a potters wheel out there, and I am looking for space for a kiln. No room for a car, but there are plants. Just not a very pretty space. I am envious of the space you have between things, Tatyana!
