Yang's Garden - Fall Colors

This is my annual walk through the charming and cozy Nursery of Mr. and Mrs. Yang
I believe this is one of the best Japanese maple nurseries in Washington state.
Most of my own garden's maples are from this place. This time, I left it without buying any new trees, but with the beautiful anemone 'Lucky Charm'. It should become a lovely addition to my other anemones which successfully are conquering my garden.
I love everything in this nursery/garden: the outstanding variety of Japanese maples and other trees, including conifers, metal skeletons of the greenhouses, bright patches of annuals and perennials, mosses, fallen trunks of old trees, Asian pears and quince fruit hanging from the trees, bird nests hidden among the dense branches and little nooks and crannies filled with interesting plants.
I like the friendly, knowledgeable owners of the Nursery and I'm thankful for their permission to take pictures and share them with you.
Here we go.

I like all the maples here.  Any of them deserve attention.  Let's take this one, Seiryu.
I admire its finely incised leaves. Brownish now, they used to be bright green earlier in summer and will turn to a bright red later . They call Seiryu the only truly upright Dissectum (Lace leaf, Fern Leaf, Cut leaf, Thread Leaf maples).

This is 'Murakumo' which means gathering clouds. Its name refers to small white dots covering the leaves.

Emerald Lace is one of the fast growing dissectums. Very heat tolerant.

Tree trunks are as beautiful as their leaves, don't you think so?
They are so different - smooth and rough, monochromic and multicolored, thin and thick, straight and crooked...
