Skagit Valley, WA, Tulip Festival - 2017

Do yourself a favor - fill up the car and head to the Skagit Valley. 

If you put on warm clothes, take an umbrella and fight the Seattle traffic, you will be rewarded with the peak of this year's tulip blooms. 

We didn't see one single wilted tulip yesterday.

If you can not do it now, put this event on your April calendar for next year.

Most of the pictures were taken in the RoozenGaarde Display Garden. 

I am taking my hat off to its owners, designers, workers and everyone who makes a visit to their place such an awesome experience.

We go there almost every year and have never been disappointed. 

Every year, new tulip varieties are added (over 150 total), and the design of the flower beds and borders never repeats itself.

Look at these muscari, grape hyacinth! They are multi-colorful!

The old trees in the RoozenGaarde Display Garden are a real treasure, as well as rustic fences!

 Windy!!!

After touring the fields and gardens, you might want to treat yourself to a visit at the unique, charming and treasure-filled Christianson's Nursery. 

Have lunch in one of the cozy restaurants in La Conner.
