Lakewold Gardens' 18th Annual Beautiful Tables Showcase is On!

As always this time in October, I invite you to visit charming Lakewold Gardens (Lakewood, WA) and their inspiring Beautiful Tables Showcase.
It's running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. between October 20th and 23rd.
This event, celebrating the art of entertaining, will not only delight your eyes but also provides great ideas for dining table decorations for the Holidays as well as family time.
Better yet, you might get so inspired, that you will decide to submit your own table setting for one of the next showcases!

There are 32 tables, set up by professional and amateur designers in four categories: Formal, Seasonal/Holiday, Contemporary and Whimsical.
You can see the tables in my pictures, but believe me, there is much more there than my pictures can show.
Come see an antique quilt, hand etched glasses, vintage tableware and ornaments, hand-printed tablecloths, depression glass, etc., etc., etc.

Want some exotic staff? Find spider stew, mice in a teapot, butterflies in the cups, bunnies in the plates, chicken on the tables!
Find yourself in Spain and France, in Book and Hunt clubs, on grandma's porch, at Mad Hatter's tea party (actually, three parties!), in a rural barn with boogie-woogie music, at a kid's birthday party and in many other places!
If the tables are not enough, stroll the enchanting Lakewold Gardens in their autumn glory.
And, last but not least, have hot cider with delicious cookies!

  1. Thank you for once again sharing this delightful event. It's difficult to choose a favorite as they're all so beautiful. My favorite will be the one created by you when you create a table for the showcase! Your holiday table and your post "A Simple Cup of Tea" from a few years ago still stick in my mind as exceptional.
