Glacier National Park: Pictures From My Trip

Without further ado, I'll tell that this trip to the park was exciting, sentimental and a bit sad.
Exciting - because what a majestic, grand and unbelievably gorgeous place it is!
Sentimental - because wed had been here 11 years ago when our boys were only 4 and barely reached my waist as I held their hands.
Now, they are teenagers, and I need to stand on my toes to kiss them.
Sad - because I could see with my naked eye that there is less snow and ice in the park than 11 years ago.
Statistics say that there were 150 glaciers in the park in 1850. Now, there are only 25 active glaciers.
A computerized weather model predicts that they will disappear by 2030. Unbelievable.
Other than that, the trip was uplifting, emotional and energizing.
Here are some pictures.

We said: 'Glaciers, please, don't melt!'
and headed to the Icefields Parkway in Canada.
To be continued.

    1. Janneke, thank you! You are right, it looks a bit like a wolf. It is a coyote. We have them in our area, sometimes they hunt for cats and small dogs.

    1. Sarah, thank you! Was it in Alaska? I took a river boat cruise to one of the glaciers there. It was wonderful! Blue ice! The Glacier National Park is in Montana, so it is easier to get there! Rush, before they melt!

  4. A very spectacular landscape! The falls is wonderful but it gets small due to the vastness of the mountains. Thank you so much for these, as i might not be able to see it in this lifetime!
