These three pictures of the sky were taken in three states.
The first one shows a sunset in California, the second one is a view from our hotel window of a sunset in Nevada, and the last picture shows Utah's sky.

Death Valley, California. Mystical, isn't it?
*
*
Can it be called majestic? And there is a bit of a mystery here too, like an alien spaceship is about to emerge from behind the clouds.

Wow, they're all beautiful! My favorite is the first one in California - it is very mystical.
ReplyDeleteAt times we can read a word out of the cloud formation, or a face or something meaningful. I like the spaceship!

Hello Tatyana,
ReplyDeleteThey are all just beautiful, but I would have to choose the sky over Death Valley. In the summer, it is a time of celebration in the desert when the sun sets.
Tatyana, beautiful landscape photos! and each quite stunning, but I am partial to #1 and #3. I love the expanse of mountain ranges. Welcome back from Nevada and happy you had a great time. Have a wonderful weekend. It's supposed to be beautiful here in the PNW. Diana
ReplyDeleteHa. We just watched Close enncounters of a third kind with our kids this week. the middle picture is reminiscent of that film.
ReplyDeleteMy kids said it was Corny!
The rays of sun highlighting the boulders.
ReplyDeleteWow, it is hard to pick a favorite. I think I like the second one the best. What great pictures you made! Carla
ReplyDeleteAll of your skies are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI do like California skies.....
I am fond of Northern Calif and the Redwoods.

Ooooo....
ReplyDeleteOh MY!........
and WOW....
I just can't choose....
they are all awesome!
Terrific photos ... I love the colours in the second shot.
ReplyDeleteStunning views, and you captured the beauty so well! I love them all, especially the last one!
ReplyDeleteStunning views, and you captured the beauty so well! I love them all, especially the last one!
ReplyDeleteHave to agree with The Retired One, said exactly the sane words.
ReplyDeleteWhat's going on in Nevada? That is so mysterious.
They're all beautiful!
ReplyDeletealoha,
ReplyDeleteits hard to choose, they are so different, but i am partial to colored skies like the sunset photo you took in the desert.
I like the colours in the second one best. It does look like a sky scene which would be used in a film.
ReplyDeleteТаня, я голосую за Калифорнию и прекрасную звезду по имени Солнце!
ReplyDeleteThey're all all stupendous - but the middle one is exceptional.
ReplyDeletethey are all great shots. However, I like the second one best. It really does seem like something is about to emerge from the sky. Neat!
ReplyDeleteSo hard to choose! You are a great photographer, Tatyana. I think I will choose number three. :)
ReplyDeleteAll gorgeous skies. I love, love looking at great shots like these. That second picture looks just like a scene from the sci-fy film Independence Day!
ReplyDeleteThey are all wonderful photos and it took a while to choose....but I think #1, something about the sun's rays and the contrast of the dark stone. It is kind of mystical.
ReplyDeleteLove 'em all, but nothing says the SW like cloud shadows! Why don't we get those here? Or do we, and I just never notice?
ReplyDeleteWow, great pictures! I completely agree that the 2nd shot looks like a spaceship is about to land.
ReplyDeleteHi Tatyana - it's hard to pick one because each of the photos is so different and unique. The California sunset is majestic - the Utah sky so powerful - the Nevada sunset a little eery - where's the spaceship? Lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteHi Tatyana
ReplyDeleteWell Death Valley is my favourite. You've really taken a good shot!
I love skies because no matter where you are, whether separated from loved ones or not, you can be sure we are all under the same sky. It unites us-as you showed in your lovely pictures amongst the states.
ReplyDeleteI think the first one looks more mysterious to me.
ReplyDeleteYou can't make me choose! They all have their charms~~You have captured three beautiful sky shots! gail
ReplyDeleteLove the blues, grays, and tawny colors in the Utah shot. I had to laugh when I saw one pic was from Death Valley. As a child I drove through there with my family and that was the hottest place I had ever been. Our A/C was broken and I thought we were going to die. What an Alaska wimp I was (and am).
ReplyDeleteChristine B.
Wow Tatyana~~ That middle photo looks unreal. Talk about the sky opening up... All the nicer with the city lights. Fun photos all around!
ReplyDeleteHello Tatyana, i am also back from my detour. Your 3 skies are all stunning on their own, of course, "...in the eye of the beholder". Your skill in photography can really make the difference in showing the emotion of the photo; mystical, enchanting, provocative, etc. I love them.
