I was walking around the house after that heavy snowfall when I heard a fluttering noise - a little bird jumped out of a fuchsia bush. Fortunately, I had my camera and managed to take a picture. Poor bird, everything was absolutely white around! Those bright flowers got her attention. I hope she found some nectar!

The bright red flowers really stand out against the snow, and look pretty. That hummingbird will have to flutter its wings awfully fast to keep from freezing. Did the snow start melting quickly?
ReplyDeleteWe had that snow for more than a week. Fortunately, it was not awfully cold. I hope there were enough feeders for those poor birds! Honestly, I didn't know that hummingbirds stay here for winter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
Enjoyed looking at your beautiful house and garden. What an amazing area you must live in to get snow and humming birds together. So exotic compared to London where we usually get neither. This week being out of the ordinary, in as much as we are snowed in. Humming birds never! Regards F
ReplyDeleteI love London... Thanks for kind comment, Fay!
