I continue to share my pictures taken at the annual holiday tables showcase in November 2011 in Lakewold Gardens, a historic Northwest estate.
'A Winter Celebration'
This table was presented by the staff at Drees of Olympia. They used hand-beaded chargers, ivory wedgewood dinner plates, artisan-formed and fired first course bowls.
This table was a winner in the Professional - Season/Holiday category.
It also got a second place in the People's Choice Professional category.

'Uptown Gold'
Designer Bonnie Stromberg (Selden's Home Furnishings) used Lenox 'Urban Lights' china for this elegant setting. It's a winner in the Professional - Contemporary category.
***
'Before The Fireworks'
Designer Lori Durr used 'Clearlake' china by Noritake, red chargers by Martha Stewart, flatware by Oneida 'Royal Flute' and glassware from Pier I.
A Canadian tree is decorated with 4th of July ornaments.
Although this setting was created with the 4th of July celebration in mind, the tree looks appropriate for this holiday season too.
This table setting was the best in the Novice - Seasonal/Holiday category.

'Every (Snow) Cloud Has a Silver Lining'
Designer - Caroline Alexander of Downtown Dirt.
She used white Crate&Barrel dishes, IKEA flatware, vintage silver glasses and Waterford stemware.
The description of the tables was provided by Lakewold Gardens.

Tatyana, this is a truly inspiring post. I love the holiday table settings, especially the first and the third table. I didn't have the possibility to set up a beautiful table in our own home for quite a while but will hopefully have a chance to do this around Christmas. Your post certainly made it clear how much a lovingly set table can enhance a meal. The Lakewold Gardens are just stunning. Gardening on such a grand scale can not be beaten :-)! I love that this garden radiates an old world feel. If I ever have a chance to visit the Pacific North Best this estate is certainly on my "must see"-list. Thanks for another great post!

I am enjoying these Holiday tables postings. I saw the black table cloth in the first one and thought "what?" but with the sparkling garlands, gold and tree it works and looks very pretty. Such lovely gardens in the summer. A beautiful place to visit.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
What incredible table settings. That first room is so formal...love the silvers...it looks very elegant. Nice gardens, I like that photo of the onion seedhead with the catmint and ?? Pentas? Great composition.
ReplyDeleteWow, Tatyana, these are amazing photos. I love these settings. They're lovely.
ReplyDeleteTatyana, your marble fireplace makes me drool with envy
