Lakewold Gardens: Beautiful Tables Showcase - 2013

The days are grey and foggy, but here is the way to uplift your mood and get inspired.
Scroll through the pictures, and there is a good chance you will plan to attend the 15th annual  Lakewold Gardens  Beautiful Tables Showcase (October 24-27, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.) in Lakewood, Washington.
This is a great opportunity to enjoy creatively decorated tables just before the upcoming Holiday Season and get ideas for your own holiday home.
Warm up with apple cider and cookies, look at 32 tables and vote for your favorite.
As a precious bonus, take a peaceful stroll through the enchanted gardens and enjoy their fall colors.
To keep it a surprise for you, here are just several views of the rooms with decorated tables, but plenty of  views of the autumn Gardens.

Pacific NW Flower Basket in October

I like this way to remember what was blooming in the garden in a certain month in a special way:
to pick one flower from each plant.
October is still pretty colorful.
This is what it has:

Hydrangeas 'Endless Summer', 'Nikko Blue', 'Angel's Blush', 'Princess Lace', 'Ice Crystal' (oakleaf),
Roses Knock-out, 'Carefree Marvel', 'Mr.Lincoln', 'Mother's rose',

Fuchsias 'Double Otto', 'Dollar Princess', 'Quasar' and NOID,
assortment of Dahlias, Japanese Anemone 'Honorine Jobert',
assortment of Chrysanthemums and Asters,

Sedum 'Autumn Joy', Rhododendron 'Honey Butter', Heuchera, Euphorbia 'Diamond Frost',
Salvia 'Black&Blue', Salvia 'Mystic Spires', Wild Cyclamen, Verbena rigida 'Polaris'

Verbascum  chaixii 'Wedding Candles',  Perovskia atriplicifolia,
Snapdragon 'Eternal', Dianthus, Nicotiana, Primrose, assortment of Geraniums.

The best bloomer right now is Campanula poschkarkyana 'Waterfall'. This Serbian bellflower has been blooming repeatedly through the summer and fall. Outstanding bloomer!
Fuchsia is another superbloomer.

I hope your October basket has some colorful gems too!
