Tree Peony Is a Star of May Garden

This tree peony is the star of my May garden.
For the  first time ever, it gave ten flowers. It is a record so far.
I like the simple elegance of the flowers.
It's a pity that flowers don't last longer. But, even an expectation of a tree peony blooming is a thrill!

Last spring's late frost killed the peony buds. Maybe, because of that, it is doing its best this year.
The white splashes on the flowers' trim are pretty:

Well, this is the end of a wonderful display. I need to fertilize it soon after the blooming ends and then just wait for next year!

If you need general information about tree peony classification, planting and care, I'd recommend this site:

  27. How simply beautiful Tatyana. I love it. I have a little one but its leaves always dies in the spring and it doesn't grow well or bloom. After seeing yours I think I need to move it to a better spot in the garden maybe. Do you do anything special for yours?
