  4. Oh how pretty. I love Spanish Lavender and wish I could grow it here. I may have to put some in a pot someday just to have some.

  5. The Spanish Lavender looks exceptionally fabulous this year, doesn't it? Yours, Tatyana, is no exception. I love the topiary, too! Way cool.

  6. Hi Tatyana,

Lovely photos, this time of year is so wonderful when all the lavenders are in bloom!

Strange, we call these Lavenders 'French' Lavender... I wonder why?

  7. How cute! Provence lavender is supposed to do best here, but I'm trying a Spanish lavender this year.

I love the Spanish lavender topiary...but then again I'm a sucker for topiaries.

  9. I can't grow lavender of any kind, but I am very partial to your lavender with bunny ears.

  10. To answer your question on my blog, no the clematis is not valiriana but 'Niobe.' It is typically an early bloomer and will bloom again later if I cut it back and keep it watered and fed.

Always a pleasure "visiting" with you.

  12. Thank you, everyone! It's a beautiful plant indeed!

Liz, I found out that it's called French Lavender, Spanish Lavender, Stoechas Lavender, or Topped Lavender!

  13. Spanish lavender is so much lighter and airier than the other varieties. Very pretty. Glad you are finally seeing some sun in your garden.

I love lavender in all forms and this is the first I saw a standard. It is small and very pretty dressed with moss.

  15. I don't think I have ever seen Spanish Lavendar, lovely. I am sure it is not hardy in my area but would make a great potted summer plant.
