Cyndy, isn't it how the winter should look? ha-ha! We certainly lack some white!

  9. Hi Tatyana,

My amaryllis are long gone so these look really great to me. I am definitely going to think of extending the amaryllis season next year.

  10. Lovely! Lovely! I love the various stages . . . what I want to know and see is when they all fall over!! What large healthy bulbs! I love your dragon Tatyana.

  12. They're gorgeous!!! My amaryllis are miserable because they're too cold while I'm at work and the heat is turned down and they're not getting enough direct sun. I may just have to live vicariously through yours or maybe show your blog to mine. They need a little motivation.

  16. Beautiful Tatyana, Bob's Amaryllis fizzled this year. He was disappointed as he did all the right things as far as we can tell.
The dragon looks like he's ready to take a bite out of the big juicy bulbs. LOL

  17. Thank you for your comments! I knew that I was sharing this picture with right people! You, gardeners, can see and appreciate the beauty! The tallest stalk fell soon after this picture was taken, and I put it in a vase. When the flowers wilted and I took the stalk out, I saw a new bud!!! Isn't it exciting?

  18. Beautiful color and great photo! Here we call them Hippeastrums, I've got one called "Russian Twin" - huge bright red double, had it for many years now and it always flowers in early spring, can't wait to see it again this season. Thank you for the beautiful photo.

  19. Never put amaryllis in front of a fire breathing dragon. LOL! They are so pretty that they can be the fire for the dragon though. With them blooming in steps you will have blooms for a lo9ng time in that planter Tatyana. Have a wonderful weekend!

  21. Why on earth have we neglected Amaryllis these last few years, got to do something about it.The hedging behind your plant, it looks like Box, if it is I hope it doesn't succumb to the blight which has destroyed ours. Thanks for your recent visit and kind comments.

  22. Dear Tatyana, Time for me to put amaryllis back on my wish list. Beautiful. P x

  23. Thank you my friends! I'm glad you like the dragon too! He likes the attention!
Alistair, the hedge is Japanese holly (ilex crenata). I've been told by our landscaper that it withstands dog's (pardon me) pee better than boxwood. I am not sure about blight... Hmm, there is something to think about...
