Holiday Decorating

Paperwhites grow in planting medium in the blue & white containers. In the glass jar, they grow with rocks and water. The ceramic container also has them with rocks and water together with moss from my garden.

Interestingly, about 90% of the accessories shown in the pictures above were obtained during 'treasure hunts' (garage and rummage sales). I like to give things a second life.

    One, thank you! I bought the jewel bugs in one of the nurseries after the holidays a year ago. I like to shop after the holidays and find great ornaments for a fraction of their original price.

  8. Right now we have no decorations, unless you count a cheap advent calendar. We told the kids we're decorating the lamp for Christmas.

  9. Tatyana you have so many great bulbs growing ~ it'll be beautiful when they all start blooming. I agree about the moss and I'm sure you have an over-abundance of it like most of us in this state. Love all of your decorations too ~ it all looks so very festive. I haven't even started yet.

    Eliza, as I said before, the nursery which sold me the jewel bugs, doesn't exist anymore. Its owners retired. Hope we'll find them somewhere else!
