Foxglove Seeds Are Ready For Sharing

I promised to collect seeds for those of you who liked my giant foxgloves (posts: Foxglove, The Beautiful , It's Foxglove Time! , A Foxglove High and Low ).
I have enough seeds for about 20 people. If you want them, please leave a comment(mention the seeds). After returning from an upcoming trip, I will let the first 20 (or more) blotanists know, and we'll go from there.

As I wrote before, I don't know the particular variety of these foxgloves, since I never planted them. They just came to my garden by air and started to spread on their own. Here, they grow even in uncultivated soil. I never stake them. They fall only after strong winds.

Since tomorrow is the 15th, I am including some pictures of the blooms in my garden. Thanks Carol ( May Dreams Garden) for hosting Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day.

  4. Ah, your flowers are luscious! And I'm envious of your blooming yucca! Here I am in Texas, and I've never had a yucca bloom for me yet.

  5. Good morning Tatyana, I would like seeds, but I will wait and ask (if you offer) next year as we are moving next summer. Love the blooms floating in the birdbath. Your photos are gorgeous as always.

  6. Guess I made the top twenty.
But I live in Zone 3 or 4 for plants, so if the Foxglove won't grow this far north, please skip me and send on to the next person on the list.
    thanks!

  12. Boy, you can see the difference between the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest in these photos! Our liatris has been done and gone for over a month.

By the way, how did you hire that bee (No, I'm sure there is more than one. . .) to pose so beautifully on all those flowers?

  13. Very pretty blooms, Tatyana. The foxgloves are very nice. Not a plant that grows this far south but I enjoy seeing yours. The bees love that sedum and joe-pye weed!

  18. Gorgeous photos! It's no wonder your garden is so beautiful with all the pollinators you have. They certainly do pose nicely for you:) I haven't had much luck with my foxgloves re-seeding themselves; I'd love to have some seeds if you have some leftover.

I'll be visiting your part of the country next week, helping my daughter move. I hope I get a chance to see some gardens while I am there.

  23. Everything looks so lush and healthy. It's been so unseasonably hot here, in western NY. My poor new garden is stressed.

  24. Hi Tatyana! Are you totally happy with the yucca? I was thinking of adding that variegated one but wasn't sure if the plant looked good without the pretty white blooms. LOVE the dahlias in the birdbath ;)

  25. I would love to try some of the seeds. Do you know which yucca that is? I'm wondering if it is "Gold Sword"? I have that one but it has never bloomed. It is stunning.

  26. Greetings from Hawaii! Thank you so much for your comments! Let's start operation "Seeds" after I return. Phillip, I'll check the yucca's name upon return, it might well be the Golden sword!
Lynn, I love that plant, even without flowers.

  34. Looks like I'm late in requesting for seeds, but wanted to stop and let you know how beautiful your flowers are. You've got great photography. I particularly love Cleome's. I grew some a couple of years ago and fell in love with them. This year I planted liatris and have really enjoyed those as well! Thanks for sharing!

Your photos are stunning. The flowers breathtaking. I found you by looking for foxglove seeds. Can you recommend a good mail order source? Thank-you for the beauty that you have shared. Regards, Jane

    ReplyDelete
  39. Jane, I never ordered foxglove seeds by mail. I would check stores and nurseries near you for seeds, or use any on-line store. If you send me your mailing address, I can mail you seeds of my foxgloves from the last year. I hope they are still good.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I figured it didn't hurt to ask, do you, by some chance, still have some available from last year's stash? I would LOVE to try them out!!
p.s. I've been reading thru your entire blog today. Your photos and gardens are truly amazing!! I've just about decided to give dahlias a try too!

    Thanks!
